A Message from the President
Louis (Lou) A. Gannon Jr.
As I look at the growth over the years since our inception in 1997, I am extremely proud of what the AMSMA has achieved, and even more excited about our outlook for an equally promising future. We have successfully transitioned from a local start-up music organization to become a respected African Nova Scotian Music Organization (ANSMA), garnering business from across the Atlantic Provinces, while earning our artists’ trust along the way.
It is satisfying to know that we are able to help our artists build the strategic blueprints that enable them to connect and operate pivotal aspects of their talents more efficiently and economically. Artist’s satisfaction is the hallmark by which we measure our performance, and we hold ourselves, as do our clients, to the highest standards of quality. In this continually evolving marketplace, our artists are more informed than ever about their solutions provider options. Even so, they continue to select the African Nova Scotian Music Association as their partner of choice because of our experience, commitment to quality and community and integrity.
Simply put, ANSMA is committed to the communities in which we conduct business. We created ANSMA as a guide for the use and deployment of music to fortify our vision of a connected and efficient community. Through our work with community organizations, churches, schools, educational institutions and government, we are vested both professionally and philanthropically as we continue to assess the needs of our artists and work hard to identify best practice solutions.
As we continue to grow, each new day offers a chance for us to work together, pursue new opportunities and improve upon the past. We establish in-depth relationships with our artists by
learning their environments, challenges and goals firsthand, so that we can offer tangible solutions with a candid perspective. We continue to manage our business around the evolving needs
of our clients, so that we can be at the forefront of change and deliver value-because value is what their managers and followers demand!
We anchor diversity in our values and we embed it in our organization, to improve our ability to connect and respond in a changing world.
Making the most of our diversity has always been the right thing and the smart thing to do. We believe combining what we have in common with what each of us bring as unique individuals is a
powerful receipt of success. By coming together and sharing our unique perspectives, we grow as an organization and as people. That leads to new insights and innovations.
We are proud of what we’ve achieved in our journey and we’re motivated by a strong sense of purpose for what is still to come. We believe diversity and inclusion strengthen us and we are committed long term to progress in our organization and the communities we served.
Simply having diversity is interesting; doing something with it is powerful!
